W. Glenn Bean currently serves as president of VIPDistinct premium concierge service, a role in which he is responsible for the company’s overall planning and day-to-day operations. He is also the founder and president of Glenn Bean PR and Management, a public relations firm responsible for assisting clients in the development of successful marketing strategies.
Mr. Bean boasts an impressive résumé that features a vast array of educational and professional accomplishments. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada, Bean went on to graduate with a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California. He also completed the American Institute of Banking Program before working with the Bermuda Department of Tourism (BDOT). Prior to his association with VIPDistinct and Glenn Bean PR, Mr. Bean served as the BDOT’s global sales and marketing director while simultaneously completing a number of business-related graduate courses at the University of Connecticut. His professional duties while with the BDOT included overseeing various operations from New York City, opening the BDOT office in Washington, D.C., and serving in management positions in both Boston and Los Angeles.
Mr. Bean has served in a number of important roles. He is a Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce ambassador, a member of the Atlanta Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee, a member of the Business and Economic Council, and holds the distinction of being designated a Multinational Executive by the U.S. government. In addition, Mr. Bean has worked as a consultant for Glenn Mark & Associates, served on the Bermuda Alliance for Tourism Marketing Committee, been a board member for New York’s Woman of Great Esteem, and was on the executive board of Celebration Community Choir. He has also served as executive administrator for Citadel of Love Church and been an active volunteer with the AIDS Project of Los Angeles.
In recent years, Mr. Bean has made his mark as both a promoter and a philanthropist. He has appeared on the hit show “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” promoted esteemed author Traci Howard’s 2009 book launch event, and co-produced Sheree Whitfield’s “She by Sheree” fashion show. Bean has promoted events in nine different countries spanning North America, the Caribbean, and Europe. Among these events have been the Bermuda Music Festival, Bermuda Love Festival, Indiana Black Expo, and Fashion Week (New York City). Mr. Bean also regularly works with non-profit organizations and charitable foundations. He currently sits on the boards of both the Boys2Men Foundation and Teach One Academy. Mr. Bean’s latest endeavor has been to establish a weekly discussion group designed to meet the needs of African American women.
